Bhitarkanika National Park is one of Odisha’s great natural wonders — a labyrinth of tidal creeks and dense mangrove forest on the Kendrapara coast, home to giant saltwater crocodiles, kingfishers, herons and one of India’s most important bird nesting sites. It’s India’s second-largest mangrove ecosystem after the Sundarbans.
