Khurda Road Junction catches people out. It is a major railway junction where a lot of long-distance trains stop, but it is not in Khurda town and it is nowhere near Puri — and unlike Bhubaneswar there is no reliable taxi rank waiting outside. Passengers who alight here expecting to find transport onward are the most common late-night call we get.
Where your driver waits
Outside the main station building at Khurda Road Junction — a small station where finding each other is easy, unlike Bhubaneswar.
Send your train number on WhatsApp when you book. We check the running status before dispatch, so a late train means the driver arrives later — not that your booking quietly lapses while you are still on board.
What to know about this transfer
- About 45 km to Puri, roughly 70 minutes, joining NH316 at Pipili.
- Khurda Road has very limited on-demand transport, especially for trains arriving after 10pm — booking ahead is not optional here in the way it is at Bhubaneswar.
- If your train stops at both Khurda Road and Bhubaneswar, ask us which is the better alighting point for your destination before you decide.
What's included in the fare
