Taptapani — literally "hot water" — is a natural sulphur hot spring on a forested hill in Ganjam district, about 50 km from Berhampur in the Eastern Ghats. The perennial spring is believed to have medicinal properties, and the surrounding forest, temple and Odisha Tourism guest house make it a favourite south-Odisha day trip.
Getting there
Taptapani is usually visited as a day trip from Berhampur — book a transfer on our Bhubaneswar Airport to Berhampur taxi page, or cover it together with Mahendragiri and Jirang on the Berhampur Grand Day Tour. See the Berhampur guide for the wider area, including nearby Tara Tarini and Gopalpur-on-Sea.
